Bill and Kaye Lewis have been square and round dancers for many years and have in recent years taken on the demanding chore of supporting and encouraging four clubs within the Houston Square and Round Dance Council.  They serve as club officers and do whatever job is needed. They have served the council as appointed officers the past three years, in addition to their club obligations. They not only serve but act as role models --showcasing what a true commitment of preserving and furthering our avocation requires.

Never seeking publicity or recognition for their work, they just willingly and enthusiastically perform the many mundane and thankless chores that need to be done. As dancers, they exemplify the meaning of the word “serve” by making visitations every week to support and aid our fellow dancers.

They support the Strawberry Squares, Lake Jackson Promenaders, Alvin Country Squares. and Houston Area Camping Squares. They attend the state and national conventions, representing Houston and our dancers. They have traveled east and west in dancing and promoting the Houston dancers. This couple loves to dance and never misses an opportunity to promote square and round dancing.
